Congratulations little Imp, you've just bought a coil tattoo gun from our online shop www.devilish-tattoo.fr
It may be your first machine and you're about to discover the sensations of having a real dermograph in your hands, so we've decided to give you a quick rundown of the technical terms to use with your machine.
Our machines are tested and pre-set before shipment, but it's possible for them to go wrong during transport or simply over time, so it's vital to know how to set your machine before you even start tattooing.
Our team remains at your disposal should you encounter the slightest difficulty. You can reach us on our Facebook page, by phone on 02.48.64.72.24e-mail contact@devilish-tattoo.fr. You'll also find videos to help you on our YouTube channel.
Important settings for operation: The distance between the tip of the contact screw and the end of the front spring is crucial to the smooth operation of your machine. First of all, check the alignment as shown in the photo above and then lower the front of the bar-frame (at the level of the grommet) using your thumb. Then adjust the contact screw so that you can insert an object measuring around 1.5 mm thick (a 5Ct coin). Depending on the work you've done, you can then adjust the contact screw more or less (just a few millimetres). By tightening the screw slightly, you can increase the speed of the machine's strokes.
Pay attention to your needle depth: This will come into play once you have put the needle in place. There is a screw above the sleeve which allows you to adjust the depth at which the needles penetrate the skin. The needle should be perfectly adjusted to just 1.5 mm. This is exactly the depth at which the skin can most easily absorb the pigments. Adjustment then depends on how you work.
