They are ideal for shading small, detailed areas, and they also allow you to add depth and dimension to your tattoos. Moreover, the round shader is often used for these styles of tattoos: a few lines, lettering, colour fills and shading, Japanese, Traditional and Neo Traditional, Tribal or Samoan.

What needle size for tattooing? Depending on the desired outcome, the 5RS, 7RS, 9RS (Round Shader) are the most commonly used sizes for small shading areas and fine fillings.
