REACH ink regulations



The new REACH 2022 rules come into force in EU/EEA countries from 4 January 2022.
The restriction introduces maximum concentration limits for individual substances or groups of substances used in tattoo inks or permanent make-up. Examples of chemicals are particular azo dyes, carcinogenic aromatic amines, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), metals and methanol.
It will also be compulsory for the labels of pigments intended for tattooing and permanent make-up to indicate this intended use. The label must also include a list of ingredients and relevant safety declarations.
Pigment Blue 15:3 and Pigment Green 7, for which the Commission and EU Member States have agreed a 24-month transition period, will no longer be available from 4 January 2023.

At present, 19 colours are compliant. TheNew REACH-compliant pigments have been created for use by any artist, from apprentice to world-class elite professional.Gen-Z is REACH/ECHA compliant and extremely unique in its composition, formulation and supply. It has never been done before in this way. Gen-Z tattoo ink and other REACH-compliant Intenze cosmetic inks are manufactured in an ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 22716 certified manufacturing facility in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA).

World Famous
The manufacturer has announced that it will have 71 compliant colours available under the "World Famous Limitless".
32 colours will be available in January, with the others to follow.

Silverback
The manufacturer has not provided any information.

Panthera
Since January 2022 Panthera Ink has reformulated its range to offer the Gold REACH range, which complies with the new legislation in force.

Basic DYNAMIC is a very intense black ink, but since the REACH standard came into force, Dynamic color and Viking Ink have spent the last 2 years working together to offer Europe and beyond certified products. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer you the new VIKING INK By Dynamic color range to complement our existing range.
