The needle with sterile triple-bevel internal thread is an essential tool for piercing. These needles are sharper than conventional catheters and the diameter of the blades is exactly that of the piercing jewellery.
. With this material, healing is optimal and the needle passes easily. As the needle has a long bevel, piercing will be more optimal.
When a needle of this type is used for a piercing, it is generally attached to a piercing device, such as a cannula or needle forceps. The piercing jewellery is first screwed onto the threaded end of the needle. Once ready, the needle is carefully inserted through the skin to create the piercing hole. After the piercing has been successfully completed, the jewellery is left in place, and the needle is carefully removed, leaving the jewellery securely in position.
The needle is 'internally threaded' to indicate that the needle has a threaded end or thread configuration inside its tube. This feature allows a piece of piercing jewellery to be securely attached to the end of the needle. This makes it much easier to insert the jewellery once the piercing has been done.
Needles are available in the following gauge:
1.2 mm or 1.6 mm
